+Idea: Using the casing of an old jukebox (preferably with non working mechanical parts, otherwise if they work it's a bit sad to break it).

+Electronic control: This is where we deviate from any reusing. Most Jukeboxes will have all sorts of purpose built internal electronics which are probably easier to bypass than anything else.

+The suggestion is:
+Arduino for the input buttons (collect the 3 digit input, cancel, skip track buttons on the case)
+Arduino for output (if you want to flash any lightning in the case to a pattern, why not).
+Pi or Old computer... Play mp3s act as Bluetooth speaker
+Old computer can connect to arduino for button input using USB (serial). Use a python program to play mp3s (mapped using a simple database) when selected by the input buttons from arduino.
+Also act as a receiver for Bluetooth so the whole thing is a simple Bluetooth speaker.
+Why not also have a simple web interface for playing mp3 files (limit to home network) for greater selection.
